My name is Daniel and I hail from Portugal. I like solving problems, building apps and (occasionally) breaking stuff. I enjoy traveling, specially if the destination has white sandy beaches, warm clear water and palm trees. Good movies, great food and amazing wine make me very happy.

I started writing code back in 1998 and I quickly fell in love with it. After a few years of re-inventing the wheel over and over, in several different programming languages, I found PHP and didn’t change since. Over time, I fooled around with other languages just for the fun of learning something new or because they covered areas that PHP didn’t.

In 2012, I left my home country and settled in Ukraine. Aside from the initial cultural shock, life in Eastern Europe was good and the IT community is amazing. Nowadays, I live in Warsaw and work for an international startup that focuses on the financial sector.
